Site History

1000Words started July 2004 at Opendiary.com. I used the diary I made there as an online art portfolio. I was just starting out making digital images, so it was just the right place for me to easily organize all my artwork and get feedback from other diarists. I chose the name 1000 Words because of the old saying: "A picture is worth a thousand words". Well, I thought it was creative at the time. After a few months I changed my diary name to 1000 Words Blends. A little less than a year later Melanie, another Opendiary artist, was offering hosting and I applied and was accepted! My webpage originally started off at digitalexposure.org/ but after some problems Melanie moved the other "hostees" and I to the more reliable abstraction.ws/! In July of 2006 I was unable to update for a month so Meliane switched me to the even more reliable headlock.ws/! This webpage was been an amazing experience and I love to be able to see my development as an artist! In October of 2009 I took the big plunge and moved to 1000wordsart.com where I will hopefully spend many years!
